The Saeco Vienna Plus Graphite will be a good match to people wanting to try out the conveniences and brewing performance of superautomatic coffee machines, but don’t necessarily want to spend a small fortune in purchasing one.
Being an entry level machine, one should not expect much flair and elaborate styling from the Saeco Vienna Plus as function is what this machine is mainly made for. However, that is not to say that the Vienna Plus is not worthy of praise in the looks department.
Matte in finish and sporting a graphite color, the Vienna Plus exudes an understated aura of modern style with its curved corners and minimalist interface. At 14 by 15 by 15-1/2 inches, you won’t find a hard time fitting it into compact spaces in your kitchen counter top.
The Saeco Vienna Plus will take the efforts of brewing away from your hands with its simple and automatic operation. Once the coffee grounds are in place, just press a button and the machine will grind, tamp and brew for you.
Once this is finished, steam and froth your milk easily using the built-in Pannarello Frothing wand.
The Saeco Vienna Plus comes with its own conical burr grinder to make sure that only the freshest grounds will be used in each brewing session.
Adjustable from 6 to 9 grams, change the strength of your coffee using the adjustable dosing system knob inside the bean hopper.
Saeco’s patented Pre-Infusion System optimizes flavor extraction from the coffee beans. Before it starts extracting, this system fuses a small amount of hot water to the freshly ground coffee to let it soak and swell up. This status is more optimal for brewing as it will allow the pressure to extract more flavor and aroma from the coffee.
A 1250-watt boiler sits at the core of the Vienna Plus, providing adequate heat for continuous use which will allow the machine to serve plenty of drinks within a short period of time.
Meanwhile, the 15-bar pump provides all the power needed to pull the best flavor and aroma from the coffee beans.
For easy access, the 57-ounce water reservoir can be easily removed for refilling, and the same step applies to both the cup tray and drip pan. Pull them out of their slots, clean or empty as needed, then slide them back to their respective places once finished.
